Mr Alexander Leeper is a Consultant Oncoplastic and Reconstructive Breast Surgeon offering modern, individualised care for all aspects of breast disease — from symptom assessment to cancer surgery and reconstruction. He specialises in using advanced plastic surgical techniques to preserve or restore breast aesthetics without compromising oncological safety.
Mr Leeper completed his surgical training in Edinburgh, gaining his MD in translational breast cancer research, and subsequently undertook higher surgical training in East Anglia and London. He was awarded Distinction by the University of East Anglia’s prestigious Mastership in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery. He went on to complete the prestigious national Oncoplastic Breast (TIG) fellowship, regarded as the gold standard for breast reconstructive training in the UK at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London.
Mr Leeper treats the full spectrum of benign and malignant breast conditions, including patients with a family history of breast cancer and those seeking risk-reducing surgery. His surgical repertoire includes therapeutic mammoplasty, mastopexy, sentinel node biopsy, wide local excision, and advanced partial breast reconstruction using chest wall perforator flaps (such as LiCAP and LTAP), as well as full implant-based reconstruction and lipofilling techniques.

Mr Leeper leads the BEAM research programme, a Breast Cancer Now–funded study exploring the link between gut microbiota and breast cancer risk. He is active in global surgical education and has worked in low-resource settings including Egypt, Nepal, Rwanda, and the Solomon Islands.
